Interim Head of Technology Operations - Private Equity
Initial 6-month contract | London Hybrid
We’re supporting a large, complex, multi-site organisation through a significant period of technology transformation and are looking for an experienced Interim Head of Technology Operations to take ownership of day-to-day operational technology performance.
This is a broad, hands-on leadership role spanning IT Service, Infrastructure, Workplace Technology and Cyber Security Operations, with a clear mandate to raise operational standards, improve service performance and bring greater accountability across the function.
Key Focus Areas
- Lead day-to-day technology operations across service, infrastructure, workplace technology and cyber operations
- Improve service performance, operational standards and accountability across a distributed organisation
- Lead major incident management, service recovery and operational resilience
- Drive improvements across service desk, end-user technology, infrastructure, cloud, networks and identity
- Provide operational leadership across vulnerability management, endpoint security, patching and incident response
- Create clearer ownership between BAU operational teams and active transformation programmes
- Resolve competing priorities across run and change activity
- Improve supplier performance, commercial outcomes and value for money
- Identify opportunities to simplify operations, reduce cost and improve efficiency

We’re Looking for Someone with
- Significant leadership experience across Technology Operations, IT Service and Infrastructure
- Experience operating in a large, geographically distributed or multi-site environment
- A strong track record of improving operational performance and service standards
- Experience balancing critical BAU services with major technology change
- Strong supplier, contractor and commercial management experience
- Experience leading major incidents and operational recovery
- Good operational cyber security experience
- Previous interim, turnaround or transformation experience
