We are partnering with a leading global financial markets and technology organisation to appoint a senior regulatory lawyer on an interim basis to cover a head of legal position.
This is a high-impact role sitting at the intersection of financial regulation, data, trading platforms, and product innovation, working closely with senior stakeholders across legal, compliance, and the business.
The Role
- Provide strategic regulatory advice across UK and EU financial services frameworks (e.g. market structure, trading, financial data regulation)
- Partner with product, commercial, and compliance teams on new and evolving offerings
- Advise on regulatory perimeter, licensing, and cross-border issues
- Support regulatory change initiatives, ensuring effective implementation across the business
- Act as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders, delivering pragmatic, commercially focused solutions

Ideal Candidate Profile
- England & Wales qualified lawyer with 8+ PQE (flexible depending on experience)
- Strong background in financial services regulation (private practice and/or in-house)
- Experience advising on UK/EU frameworks (e.g. MiFID II, market infrastructure, trading environments, or similar)
- Ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced, product-led environment
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with a commercial and solution-oriented mindset
