Interim Head of Operations

As the Interim Head of Operations in the FMCG industry, you'll oversee daily manufacturing and operational activities, ensuring efficiency and productivity across the board. Based in Lincolnshire, this temporary role plays a key part in maintaining smooth processes and delivering results.

Description

This interim Head of Operations role in the food manufacturing sector is initially intended to provide short-term cover on site in Lincolnshire.

  • Oversee manufacturing operations to ensure efficiency and quality standards are met.
  • Manage and develop a team of direct reports, and indirectly over 100 production staff.
  • Manage and optimise production schedules to meet business demands.
  • Implement strategies to improve operational processes/systems and reduce costs.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Lead and support the operations team to maximise performance.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators to track progress.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the operations function.

Profile

A successful Interim Head of Operations should have:

  • Experience in an operations leadership role within the Food Manufacturing sector.
  • Good experience of managing and developing strong teams.
  • A strong understanding of manufacturing processes and operational efficiency.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage and lead teams effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Able to interview and start a new role immediately.

Job Offer

  • Daily rate between £350 and £440 PAYE (inside IR35, c£90k equivalent package)
  • Site-based role.
  • Temporary contract until the end of the year, with potential for longer-term.
