Midlands | Hybrid Working (2-3 days on-site) | Interim Assignment | 3-5 days a week considered | 4 - 6 month contract. I Inside IR35.
We are seeking an experienced and inspirational senior leader to join a high-performing Children's Services organisation on an interim basis.
This is an opportunity to lead services across Children in Care, Care Leavers, Corporate Parenting and Disabled Children's Services, providing strategic leadership, maintaining strong service performance and supporting the next phase of service improvement and transformation.
The successful candidate will be an accomplished children's services leader with significant experience in Children in Care, safeguarding, permanence and care leaver services. You will be confident operating within a complex partnership environment, working closely with health and education colleagues, elected members and senior stakeholders. Experience of managing placement sufficiency, SEND-related challenges and driving improvement programmes will be highly valued.

Key requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration
- Substantial senior leadership experience within Children's Social Care
- Strong background in Corporate Parenting, Children in Care and Care Leaver services
- Experience leading service improvement and transformation
- Politically astute with excellent stakeholder management skills
- Ability to provide visible leadership, support and challenge across multidisciplinary teams
