About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR generalist who is confident operating independently, providing practical HR advice, and supporting a small but varied workforce across production, technical, and operational functions.

As the HR Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day HR function across the organisation. Working closely with senior leaders and line managers, you will provide hands-on HR support across recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, payroll administration, policy, compliance, training, and employee engagement.

This is a varied and highly visible role, combining operational HR delivery with broader office management and business support responsibilities. You will be the key point of contact for HR matters across the organisation, ensuring employees and managers receive clear, practical, and timely support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full employee life cycle, including recruitment, onboarding, probation reviews, employee records, and workforce planning
  • Act as the standalone HR lead, supporting managers with employee relations matters including absence, performance, disciplinary, and grievance processes
  • Ensure HR policies, procedures, training requirements, and employment practices remain compliant with UK employment legislation and best practice
  • Oversee payroll administration, attendance, sickness, holidays, KPIs, occupational health requirements, and wider compliance activity
  • Provide hands-on operational and office support, acting as the key point of contact for employee queries, suppliers, meetings, communications, and company events

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
