Interim HR Transformation Project Manager

Central Manchester | Hybrid – approximately 50% office-based

Initial 3–6-month assignment

FTC or day-rate contract

Salary: Competitive

We are conducting a confidential search for an experienced HR Transformation Project Manager to deliver several important people-function projects within a changing organisation.

This is a hands-on delivery role covering HR systems, employee benefits, shared services and payroll. We need someone who has implemented these changes in practice—not simply supported them as part of a wider programme.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation and rollout of a new HRIS, coordinating requirements, configuration, testing, data migration and go-live
  • Establish and implement employee benefits, working with internal stakeholders and external providers
  • Review and improve HR shared-services processes and ways of working
  • Support the setup, transition and effective management of payroll operations
  • Create and manage the project plan, milestones, risks, dependencies and governance
  • Coordinate HR, Finance, Payroll, Technology and third-party suppliers
  • Lead stakeholder communication, training and change adoption
  • Ensure new processes, controls and responsibilities are clearly documented and embedded

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
