Elevation Recruitment Group are supporting a specialist engineering manufacturer in the recruitment of an experienced Interim HSE Manager for an immediate start.
This is a hands-on role requiring an experienced HSE professional with a strong background in machinery safety and regulatory compliance. Working closely with engineering and operations, you'll lead HSE activities while supporting the compliance of new and existing machinery through robust technical documentation and self-certification processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Health, Safety & Environmental activities across the manufacturing site.
- Drive compliance with PUWER, Machinery Regulations and associated legislation.
- Conduct machinery risk assessments and identify safety improvements.
- Lead machinery self-certification activities, including UKCA/CE compliance.
- Create, review and maintain technical files and compliance documentation.
- Support new machinery installations, modifications and engineering projects.
- Investigate incidents, manage corrective actions and drive continuous improvement.
- Deliver HSE training and promote a positive safety culture across the business.

About You
We're looking for an experienced HSE professional who can quickly add value within a manufacturing or engineering environment.

You'll ideally have:
- Proven experience in an HSE leadership role within manufacturing or engineering.
- Strong knowledge of machinery safety, PUWER and Machinery Regulations.
- Experience producing technical files, machinery risk assessments and supporting UKCA/CE self-certification.
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification.
- The ability to influence stakeholders and work collaboratively with engineering and production teams.
