HW Interim are partnering with an organisation to appoint an Interim IT Director.
This isn't a strategic role, the roadmap is already defined. We're looking for a hands on IT leader who can shape delivery, challenge where appropriate, and execute at pace.
Deliverables
- Reduce IT operating costs while improving service levels.
- Review and optimise the managed service provider model.
- Lead the replacement of a legacy ERP platform, ensuring the business selects and implements the right solution for its future needs.
- Assess the technology estate, strengthening infrastructure, cyber security and operational resilience.
- Improve IT governance, accountability and business partnering across the organisation.
- Develop a high-performing IT function that delivers reliable operational support while enabling future business growth.

The Ideal Profile
- Proven IT leadership experience as an IT Director, Head of IT or aspiring CIO within an SME or mid-market organisation.
- A hands on technology leader who is comfortable operating strategically whilst remaining close to delivery and execution.
- Experience leading IT transformation programmes, including infrastructure modernisation, ERP change, supplier management and operational improvement.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance cost optimisation, risk management and business enablement.
- Demonstrable experience managing third party suppliers, driving performance and value from outsourced technology services.
- A pragmatic, delivery focused leader who is comfortable working across all levels of the organisation, from technical teams through to the executive leadership team.
- Track record of building trusted relationships across business functions, positioning IT as a proactive business partner rather than a support function.
- Comfortable working within fast-paced, evolving environments where adaptability, ownership and pace of delivery are essential.
