Interim Integration Director – Financial Services
Location: London (Hybrid)
Day Rate: £1,000–£1,500 per day (Outside IR35)
Contract Length: 9–12 Months
Start: ASAP
We're partnering with a leading private equity-backed international financial services group that has completed a series of significant acquisitions across Europe and the US. Two years into the investment, the business is entering a critical phase of its value creation journey and is now focused on achieving full integration across the group to maximise operational performance, realise synergies and position the business for a high-value exit over the next 2–3 years.
They are seeking an experienced Interim Integration Director to lead this agenda, working closely with the CEO, CFO, COO, executive leadership team and PE shareholder. This is a high-profile, hands-on mandate for someone who has successfully integrated complex, multi-jurisdictional financial services businesses and understands how integration can directly support value creation and exit readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end integration of multiple acquired businesses across Europe and the US.
- Develop and execute a group-wide integration strategy aligned to the PE value creation plan.
- Own integration governance, workstreams, milestones, costs and synergy delivery.
- Work closely with the CEO, CFO, COO and PE shareholder to ensure the integration agenda supports exit objectives.
- Drive alignment across finance, HR, technology, operations, commercial, legal, risk and compliance.
- Establish a consistent operating model, processes and governance across the group.
- Identify and deliver cost and revenue synergies, ensuring benefits are embedded and measurable.
- Manage integration risks, dependencies and critical decisions across multiple jurisdictions.
- Engage acquired management teams and senior stakeholders to drive alignment and accountability.
- Develop and embed a robust integration playbook and repeatable M&A methodology.
- Provide clear reporting to ExCo and the PE shareholder on progress, risks, synergies and value creation.
- Ensure the business is fully integrated, scalable and appropriately positioned ahead of the planned exit.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
