The Company
This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced, innovative global food manufacturer who are looking for an ambitious Junior Development Chef to join the team on an interim basis. This role is for an immediate start.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for supporting the Product Lead & Development Chef with creating new recipes as well as driving product improvements across the current range, whilst helping to deliver customer projects from concept through to launch within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- You'll be passionate about food and keeping on top of the latest food & beverage trends; new ingredients, packaging, and market changes will motivate you to think outside the box with your ideas for new concepts.
- You’ll be a key member of the team supporting with day-to-day samples creation, documentation, project management, trial support, and customer facing presentations.
- You’ll also have exposure to the cross-functional team, who can support you with balancing creativity with technical, operation, and commercial requirements for each project.

As this is a hands-on interim assignment, you'll be expected to hit the ground running by supporting the Product team, managing multiple priorities, and adding value from day one.
The Person
This role will suit a chef who is looking to transition from restaurant kitchens to NPD or a junior chef looking to increase their skills in a short space of time.
- You'll be a proactive and organized individual who enjoys working at pace, keeping up with trends, and be eager to learn from an experienced team, whilst supporting the creation of commercially viable shelf-ready products.
This opportunity is ideally suited to someone looking for a 3–6-month contract where they can make an immediate impact within a collaborative and innovative business.
