Interim Commercial Lawyer

4–6 Month Contract | London | Hybrid

We are working with a dynamic, fast-paced household name and genuine disruptor in its space, looking for an experienced Commercial Lawyer to join a best-in-class legal team on an initial 4–6 month interim basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer who wants to work within a high-growth, innovative business and alongside a highly regarded legal team. The role will be predominantly focused on commercial contracts, alongside a range of interesting and business-critical projects.

The Role

You will work closely with stakeholders across the business, taking ownership of a broad range of commercial matters. You will be involved in drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts, while also supporting exciting projects as the business continues to grow and evolve.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working at pace, is comfortable operating autonomously and wants to be a true partner to the business. You will be joining an established, high-calibre legal function and will have the opportunity to work alongside some excellent lawyers.

What you’ll be doing

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements
  • Advising the business on contractual and commercial matters
  • Supporting interesting and strategically important projects
  • Working closely with teams across the business and building strong stakeholder relationships
  • Providing pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice
  • Identifying and managing legal risk while helping the business achieve its objectives
  • Taking ownership of matters from start to finish

About you

We are looking for a strong Commercial Lawyer who can hit the ground running and make an immediate impact. Ideally, you will have trained at a leading City law firm before moving in-house, with solid commercial experience gained within a fast-paced business.

You will ideally be:

  • Commercially minded, pragmatic and solutions-focused
  • A strong drafter and negotiator
  • Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced environment
  • Confident dealing directly with stakeholders across the business
  • Able to manage a varied workload and prioritise effectively
  • Someone who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and getting involved in projects beyond day-to-day contracting
