The Opportunity

We are working with a growing, technology-focused organisation seeking an experienced Interim Commercial Technology Lawyer to support its small but busy Legal team.

The engagement will require approximately four days per week and is offered on an outside IR35 basis. The role is predominantly remote, although candidates who can attend the client’s Brighton office approximately once per week would be preferred.

This is an ongoing interim requirement with an ASAP start and would suit a contractor seeking a flexible assignment within a fast-paced technology environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of commercial and technology agreements, including:
    • SaaS and software licensing agreements
    • Supplier and customer contracts
    • Master services agreements and statements of work
    • NDAs and other commercial documentation
  • Providing pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice to internal stakeholders.
  • Supporting the Legal team with general commercial and technology matters.
  • Identifying and communicating contractual risks while helping the business reach practical solutions.
  • Managing matters autonomously and prioritising a varied workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborating effectively with members of the Legal team and wider business.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
