Global retail and manufacturing business is looking for an Interim Legal Counsel as a lead role for their operations in Italy on a part-time, 3 days/week basis starting in September.
3 month+ contract. Potential to extend / go permanent
Remote working from the UK, Europe, or based out of Italy HQ (near Verona)
Reporting to Chief Legal Officer
Must be qualified in Italy, fluent also in English

This is a hands-on operational role supporting the local business, working closely with senior stakeholders and being a trusted legal advisor to the team, as part of Group Legal.
Responsibilities will include:
- commercial contract drafting, review, and negotiation
- real estate matters including lease negotiations
- managing franchise arrangements
- litigation and dispute management
- advising on regulatory compliance
- engaging external counsel when required

You will be ideally:
- 8+ years qualified (Italy)
- previous experience as a legal counsel, in-house within a similar environment
- strong technical skills coupled with ability to work effectively with senior management
