Commercial Legal Counsel (FTC) | London | 3 Months
We're working with a highly regarded professional services organisation that is seeking an experienced Commercial Legal Counsel to join its in-house legal team on an initial 3 month fixed-term contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer who can quickly integrate into a busy legal function, take ownership of matters from day one, and provide pragmatic legal support across a broad range of commercial and operational matters.
The Role
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements.
- Advising on and managing engagement letters, supplier agreements, and terms & conditions.
- Reviewing and negotiating requests for special terms from clients and suppliers.
- Supporting the business with commercial and vendor due diligence exercises.
- Advising on release letter terms and conditions and associated contractual documentation.
- Working closely with internal stakeholders to provide practical, risk-based legal advice.
- Leveraging existing legal playbooks, policies and processes while helping to drive legal efficiency.
- Partnering with the General Counsel, escalating matters as appropriate whilst operating with a high degree of autonomy.

About You
- Qualified lawyer with approximately 2-5 years' PQE.
- Experience gained within professional services environments.
- Ideally a combination of private practice and in-house commercial legal experience.
- Strong commercial contracts experience and confidence managing a varied workload independently.
- A proactive self-starter who can hit the ground running with minimal supervision.
- Immediately available or available at short notice.

Location: London (3 days per week in the office)
