Legal Operations Manager (12-Month Contract)

London | Hybrid Working | November Start

We're working with a leading global organisation seeking an experienced Legal Operations Manager to join its in-house legal team on a 12-month contract.

This is a broad and highly visible role supporting a sophisticated global legal function, combining day-to-day operational management with strategic projects across legal technology, outside counsel management, legal spend, process improvement, AI adoption, and business transformation initiatives.

Working closely with senior legal stakeholders, you will help drive operational excellence across the legal team while ensuring key programmes and processes continue to run effectively.

The Role

Key responsibilities are likely to include:

  • Managing relationships with external law firms, legal service providers, and technology vendors
  • Leading law firm rate reviews, supplier negotiations, and spend management initiatives
  • Supporting legal budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes
  • Acting as a product owner for elements of the legal technology ecosystem, including matter management and AI tools
  • Driving process improvement and operational efficiency projects across the legal function
  • Supporting strategic change and integration programmes
  • Coordinating learning, knowledge management, and internal engagement initiatives
  • Working closely with legal leadership, finance, procurement, and technology stakeholders across the business

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
