Avante Care & Support is proud to announce Wain House, our brand-new, purpose-built care home in Westgate-on-Sea, opening January 2026. Designed to deliver outstanding residential and dementia care, Wain House will be a warm and welcoming place for residents, families, and staff alike.
We’re now recruiting a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our founding team — someone who takes pride in their work and wants to make a genuine impact.
About The Role
As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and visual appeal of the home — from keeping the buildings and grounds in top condition to ensuring health and safety standards are met at all times.
- Carry out day-to-day repairs, caretaking, and redecoration
- Maintain the fabric of the building and outdoor areas
- Work closely with the Home Manager to prioritise tasks
- Occasionally support other Avante locations in Kent and South East London
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Quality Standards

✅ What We’re Looking For
- Solid experience in general maintenance and repair work (multi-trade background preferred)
- Comfortable using IT and digital maintenance tools
- Friendly, respectful, and sensitive to working around residents with varying needs
- Team player with a flexible, can-do approach
- Full, clean manual driving licence
- Good knowledge of building methods, materials, and property maintenance
