Interim Management Accountant
Location: Manchester
Salary: £300–£400 per day

Finatal are partnering with an investor-backed logistics business that is looking to appoint an Interim Management Accountant to strengthen its finance function during a particularly busy period of growth and change.
Working closely with the Financial Controller and wider finance team, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth delivery of the month-end process while providing accurate, timely financial information to support business decision-making. This is a hands-on role where you'll be expected to quickly embed yourself within the finance team, take ownership of key reporting responsibilities and proactively identify opportunities to improve existing processes and controls.

- Preparing monthly management accounts
- Supporting the month-end close
- Managing balance sheet reconciliations
- Monitoring cash flow and working capital
- Providing meaningful financial insight to operational stakeholders across the business
- Supporting process improvement initiatives

- Strengthening the overall control environment

The assignment will run for an initial 6-month period and offers the opportunity to work within a fast-paced, investor-backed business where finance plays a key role.
Requirements
- ACA or ACCA qualified
- Comfortable working autonomously
- Strong technical accounting skills
- Confident in building relationships with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
- Previous experience within an investor-backed or private equity-backed business would be advantageous, but not essential
