Job Title

Our Client, an exciting PE backed real estate business, is looking for an Interim Management Accountant to support them on a 6-month contract to support across balance sheet reconciliations, audit support and management accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the balance sheet reconciliation process, investigating and resolving discrepancies and ensuring strong financial controls are maintained.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and support month-end close.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling activities.
  • Deliver financial performance analysis and management reporting.
  • Assist with group reporting and consolidations.
  • Support the preparation of statutory accounts and year-end reporting.
  • Act as a contact during the external audit, ensuring timely delivery of audit requests.
  • Review VAT returns and maintain strong financial controls.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business to provide financial insight.
  • Drive improvements to finance processes, systems, and reporting.

Candidate Profile

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant.
  • Strong management accounting background with experience preparing management accounts and supporting month-end processes.
  • Excellent balance sheet reconciliation and financial control experience.
  • Previous exposure to statutory accounts preparation and year-end audit support.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to produce meaningful variance analysis and financial insights.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with finance systems and reporting tools.
  • Proactive, hands-on approach with a focus on continuous improvement and process enhancement.
