Job Description
Accountable Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a well-established organisation who are seeking to appoint an experienced Management Accountant to join the finance team on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract.
Based in Liverpool, you will work within a hybrid working model, supporting key stakeholders across the organisation and delivering accurate financial reporting, analysis, and business partnering support.
This opportunity is ideal for a qualified accountant who is immediately available or available at short notice and looking to join a values-driven organisation during an exciting period of activity and change.
Salary/Benefits
- £50,000 - £55,000 per annum (pro rata)
- 6-month fixed-term contract

Job Duties
- Produce monthly management accounts and associated financial reports.
- Prepare and post monthly journals including accruals, prepayments, and depreciation.
- Support the budgeting, forecasting, and business planning processes.
- Analyse financial performance, investigate variances, and provide meaningful commentary.
- Generate income and expenditure statements and maintain the integrity of the financial ledger.
- Support the development of KPI reporting and management dashboards.
- Prepare financial analysis and reporting for budget holders and senior stakeholders.
- Assist with financial modelling, costings, and business case preparation.
- Support the preparation of recharges, invoices, and ad-hoc financial reporting.
- Maintain accurate records, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
- Provide financial support to projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist the Financial Controller with key financial deliverables and stakeholder requests.

Who will I report to?
Financial Controller
When will interviews be taking place?
Interviews will be taking place as soon as suitable candidates are identified. Early application is recommended.
Ideal Experience
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA Qualified Accountant (essential)
- Previous experience in a Management Accountant position.
- Strong month-end accounting and financial reporting experience.
- Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate financial information.
- Strong stakeholder management and business partnering capabilities.
- Ability to manage a varied workload and work effectively to tight deadlines.
- Proactive, organised, and solutions-focused approach.
- Experience within healthcare, NHS, or public sector environments would be advantageous but is not essential.
