Ivy Rock Partners is working with a respected education organisation to recruit an experienced interim Management Accountant with an immediate start. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified finance professional to join a busy finance team, supporting key financial reporting and year-end activities. Previous experience within the Further or Higher Education sector would be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and produce monthly management accounts
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies
- Carry out income reconciliations and analyse variances
- Perform regular bank reconciliations
- Support the preparation of year-end accounts
- Assist with financial reporting and analysis for senior stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with financial controls, policies and procedures

About You:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Proven experience working as a Management Accountant within a complex organisation
- Strong hands-on experience with monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, income reconciliations, bank reconciliations, month-end and year-end processes
- Previous experience within the Further Education or Higher Education sector is desirable
- Strong Excel skills and confidence using finance systems, with the ability to quickly adapt to new ERP systems
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships across finance and operational teams
- A proactive, collaborative approach with excellent attention to detail
