About Rutherford Briant Executive
Rutherford Briant Executive is seeking experienced interim CEOs and senior operational leaders for opportunities within construction, property services, and the wider built-environment sector.
The Role
The opportunity is suited to proven CEOs, Managing Directors, and operational leaders who can enter a business during a period of change, quickly understand its priorities, and make an immediate impact.
The role focuses on leading businesses through operational and commercial improvement, transformation, turnaround, restructuring, and periods of significant organisational change.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Lead businesses through periods of change and transformation.
- Quickly assess organisational priorities and translate them into actionable plans.
- Balance strategic leadership with hands-on operational delivery.
- Strengthen accountability across senior leadership teams.

Operational & Commercial Performance
- Improve operational and commercial performance.

- Assess business challenges quickly and implement appropriate solutions.
- Stabilise and improve business performance.

- Proven experience as a CEO, Managing Director, or senior operational leader.
- Experience within construction, property services, or the wider built-environment sector.
- Demonstrated success improving operational and commercial performance.
- Experience strengthening accountability across senior teams.
- Experience working with shareholders and investor-led boards.
- Background in business transformation, turnaround, or restructuring.
- Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution.
- Strong ability to quickly assess priorities and turn them into action.
Work Arrangement
Opportunities based in London and the South East, UK.
