Interim Operations Consultant
6-Month Contract | Outside IR35 | Hampshire & Dorset | Circa £500 per day
Practicus is supporting a privately owned healthcare group undergoing a significant operational transformation programme across its pharmacy and private healthcare businesses.
This is a hands-on leadership assignment for an experienced operational transformation professional who can quickly assess a complex organisation, identify opportunities for improvement and, most importantly, implement sustainable change.
The organisation has invested heavily in automation, infrastructure, and service expansion and is now seeking an individual to optimise operations, improve productivity, and establish a scalable operating model capable of supporting future growth.
Key Areas of Focus
- Optimising workflow and operational performance across a multi-site healthcare operation.
- Improving utilisation of existing automation and technology investments.
- Driving productivity, efficiency, and cost improvement initiatives.
- Implementing meaningful KPIs, reporting, and performance management.
- Strengthening management accountability and leadership capability.
- Reviewing procurement, inventory management, and operational costs.
- Standardising processes and governance across multiple sites.
- Developing an integrated operating model across healthcare service lines.
- Embedding sustainable improvements and leaving a stronger operational structure behind.

Experience Required
- Proven track record of operational transformation delivery.
- Strong commercial and financial awareness.
- Experience improving productivity, processes, and organisational performance.
- Ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.
- Hands-on implementation experience rather than advisory consultancy alone.
- Comfortable operating within complex, regulated environments.
This role will be 3/4 days on site initially, and after a period of time could become less.
This assignment offers the opportunity to work directly with senior leadership, take ownership of a high-profile transformation programme, and deliver measurable operational and commercial outcomes.
