3-month contract initially, with potential to be extended

This role can be hybrid/remote based

We're looking for an experienced and commercially minded People Partner to join us on an interim basis for an initial 3-month period, with the potential for the role to be extended. You'll play an important role in delivering our people agenda across a large, operationally focused and highly unionised business.

Working closely with operational and functional leaders, you'll provide expert people advice and support across workforce planning, employee relations, organisational change and industrial relations. You'll help leaders navigate business challenges, support organisational change and drive a positive colleague experience while ensuring business goals are achieved.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can quickly build strong relationships, provide pragmatic solutions and add value from day one.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Partnering with leaders and managers to deliver people plans that support business objectives and improve performance.
  • Providing practical advice, coaching and guidance on a wide range of people-related matters.
  • Managing complex employee relations cases, ensuring fair, consistent and legally compliant outcomes.
  • Building effective relationships with recognised trade unions and employee representative groups.
  • Supporting consultation activities, organisational change projects and industrial relations matters.
  • Assisting with organisational design, restructures and workforce planning initiatives.
  • Providing guidance on TUPE transfers, business change projects and integration activities where required.
  • Supporting mobilisation, growth and contract-related activities through workforce planning and people risk management.
  • Helping leaders prepare for changes in employment legislation and best practice.
  • Using people data and insights to identify trends, manage risk and support decision-making.
  • Supporting talent, succession and workforce planning initiatives to strengthen organisational capability.
  • Promoting colleague engagement, inclusion and wellbeing, helping to create a workplace where people can thrive.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
