Role Overview

The Talent Set are delighted to partner with our client on a fantastic Interim Philanthropy Manager role. This position involves managing relationships with high-net-worth individuals and foundations to secure significant gifts, contributing to the organisation’s mission to transform lives through heart and lung health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to increase income from philanthropists and family foundations within a specified donor range.
  • Manage and grow existing supporter portfolios, with a focus on reactivating dormant contacts and building new relationships.
  • Steer relationship management activities to ensure personalised engagement, stewardship, and long-term support.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align donor interests with relevant projects and develop compelling proposals and reports.
  • Maintain accurate records of engagement activities and opportunities using the organisation’s CRM system.
  • Identify new prospects through research and network leveraging, supporting a healthy pipeline for future income sources.
  • Support and oversee the performance and objectives of a Senior Philanthropy Officer.
  • Contribute to team and organisational goals by working collaboratively across departments.

Person Specification

  • Proven experience in major donor fundraising or relationship management with high-net-worth individuals or foundations.
  • Ability to develop and maintain meaningful, personalised relationships with supporters and stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills and experience managing supporter portfolios, including using CRM systems effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adaptable to different audiences.
  • A proactive approach to prospect research, pipeline development, and income generation.
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of the health sector or large charitable organisations advantageous but not essential.
  • Commitment to high standards of stewardship, ethical fundraising, and organisational values.

What’s on Offer

  • Rate: £166.01 per day + £26.61 daily holiday
  • Location: London
  • Contract: Initial 6 months with a potential for extension
