Interim Prime Brokerage Legal Counsel
A leading global financial institution is seeking a senior lawyer to join its front-office legal team supporting a broad range of Prime Brokerage, Cash Equities and Custody-related activities.
This is not a pure documentation role. The successful candidate will act as a trusted legal adviser to the business, partnering closely with trading, sales, operations, risk and product teams on strategic legal and commercial matters across the Prime Brokerage platform.

- Advising on Prime Brokerage, Cash Equities and related financing products.
- Supporting the legal framework surrounding client onboarding, third-party arrangements and broader business initiatives.
- Providing proactive legal and regulatory guidance to senior stakeholders.
- Working closely with custody, operations, front office and infrastructure teams.
- Helping drive business growth while appropriately managing legal risk.
Ideal Background:
- Qualified lawyer with strong exposure to Prime Brokerage, Cash Equities, Securities Services, Custody, Financing or Markets businesses.
- Experience operating as a commercial legal adviser rather than solely drafting or negotiating standard documentation.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to partner with senior business leaders.
- Previous experience within a leading financial institution or major law firm advising investment banking or securities services clients.
