Interim Procurement Manager - 5 month FTC | London | Hybrid

We are partnering with a leading financial services organisation to appoint an experienced Procurement / Commercial Manager on a 5-month fixed-term contract basis...

Working closely with the Senior Procurement Manager and key business stakeholders, you will lead strategic third-party engagements across allocated business units. This role combines procurement delivery, commercial negotiation, supplier management, and business partnering within a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment.

You will support the development and execution of procurement strategies across a range of Indirect categories, enhance supplier relationships, and ensure strong governance and regulatory compliance across the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and delivery of procurement strategy across indirect spend categories.
  • Lead procurement projects and commercial initiatives to deliver efficiencies and cost savings.
  • Manage supplier relationships throughout procurement activities and contract lifecycles.
  • Negotiate and execute complex commercial agreements with strategic suppliers.
  • Build strong partnerships with business stakeholders and central functions including Legal, IT Security, and Financial Crime.
  • Identify market trends, commercial opportunities, and innovative supplier solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement across procurement processes and ways of working.
  • Support third-party risk management and governance activities.
  • Contribute to the development of a robust and commercially effective supplier ecosystem.

About You:

We are looking for a commercially astute procurement professional with strong stakeholder management skills and experience operating within complex corporate environments.

You will ideally have:

  • Strong knowledge of strategic procurement and category management methodologies.
  • Experience managing indirect spend and complex supplier relationships.
  • Proven commercial negotiation and contract management experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to translate data into actionable insight.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills across senior stakeholders.
  • Experience delivering procurement savings and efficiencies against targets.
  • Ability to operate effectively within matrix or virtual team environments.
  • Experience within financial services or broader professional/services-based organisations.

Desirable Experience:

  • Knowledge of UK financial services regulatory and legislative frameworks.
  • Relevant professional qualification such as MCIPS or MBA.
