Procurement Manager

This interim role as a Procurement Manager is all about overseeing key procurement activities and ensuring compliance within the public sector. You'll be working closely with stakeholders to help streamline processes and deliver effective supply chain solutions.

This organisation operates in the public sector and is based in the West Midlands.

Description

  • Lead procurement projects, ensuring alignment with public sector regulations and policies.
  • Develop and manage supplier relationships to achieve best value and service delivery.
  • Provide guidance on procurement strategies and contract management.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement legislation and internal governance.
  • Support the implementation of cost-saving initiatives across the supply chain.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues effectively.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to meet project goals.
  • Prepare reports and updates for senior management.

Profile

A successful Interim Procurement Manager should have:

  • Proven experience in procurement within the public sector.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement regulations and compliance requirements (PCR 2015 & PA23).
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Proficiency in relevant procurement and supply chain software.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach to challenges.
