Interim Legal Counsel (Project Finance) | 6-Month Contract
We're working with a leading infrastructure and investment-backed business seeking an experienced lawyer to join its in-house legal team on an interim basis.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can hit the ground running, take ownership of a varied legal workload and act as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders from day one.
Working in a fast-paced commercial environment, you'll partner closely with business leaders, providing pragmatic legal support across commercial, financing and project-related matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day legal advice across a broad range of commercial and financing matters.
- Support project finance transactions, including reviewing, drafting and negotiating financing, security and project documentation.
- Partner with senior stakeholders, providing clear, practical and commercially focused legal advice.
- Manage external counsel and oversee key legal workstreams.
- Identify and manage legal risk, escalating issues where appropriate.
- Ensure legal support remains responsive and effective across the business during the contract period.

About You
- Qualified Solicitor (or equivalent) with experience operating at Senior Associate level or above.
- Strong technical legal skills combined with sound commercial judgement.
- Confident engaging with senior stakeholders in a demanding business environment.
- Proactive, self-sufficient and comfortable working autonomously.
- Available to start immediately or at short notice.
- Able to commit to an initial 6-month assignment.

Desirable Experience
- Project finance experience gained in private practice, in-house or a combination of both.
- Exposure to infrastructure, energy, renewables, financial services or related sectors.
