Interim Project Manager – M&A Integration
Day Rate: £500–£700 per day, potentially higher depending on experience
Location: UK-based, remote
Initial Commitment: 2–3 days per week through to January, moving to full-time thereafter
Start Date: Within 2–3 weeks
Contract: Interim
The Opportunity
We are supporting a rapidly growing Facilities Management platform pursuing an ambitious acquisition strategy.
The business is currently completing its first two acquisitions, with further acquisitions planned as part of a broader buy-and-build strategy. The longer-term ambition is to complete approximately 30+ acquisitions.
We are looking for an experienced Interim Project Manager to take ownership of coordinating the integration programme across newly acquired businesses.
A 100-day plan and integration playbook are already in place. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the plan forward, coordinating stakeholders, tracking actions, and ensuring the relevant members of the executive team remain aligned and accountable.
This is a programme/project management role rather than an operational delivery role. The C-suite and functional leaders will own the individual workstreams; the Project Manager will coordinate and orchestrate delivery across them.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and coordinate the post-acquisition integration project plan.
- Drive delivery against the existing 100-day integration plan and playbook.
- Coordinate activity across the CEO, CFO, CTO, and other senior stakeholders.
- Establish clear actions, owners, milestones, and deadlines.
- Track progress across all integration workstreams.
- Identify risks, issues, dependencies, and blockers and ensure they are addressed.
- Organise and facilitate project meetings and governance forums.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, RAID logs, action trackers, and reporting.
- Provide clear and concise updates to the executive team and investors.
- Ensure key decisions and actions are followed through to completion.
- Help ensure acquired businesses are stabilised and effectively integrated following completion.
- Capture lessons learned and help improve the integration process for future acquisitions.
- Support the coordination of due diligence and integration planning for future acquisitions as the pipeline develops.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
