Main Duties
- Core focus is to run the project, hands-on systems accounting of a Technology One end-to-end implementation.
- There will not be any management responsibilities.
- Day-to-day tasks consist of:
- Lead financial systems projects, upgrades, and implementations.
- Manage and develop the Council's corporate financial management systems.
- Support finance transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Configure, maintain, and monitor financial and procurement systems.
- Manage system security, user access, testing, training, and documentation.
- Support budgeting, budgetary control, financial reporting, reconciliations, and year-end processes.
- Work closely with Finance, ICT, software suppliers, and external stakeholders to resolve system issues and deliver improvements.
- This is very much a hands-on systems accounting position and not a project manager role.

Candidate Requirements
- Must have experience as a systems accountant doing an end-to-end implementation of an ERP system before.
- Specific experience using Technology One is desirable but not essential.
- It is also preferred that candidates have end-to-end ERP implementation experience within a local government setting.
