Interim Property Disposals Director
12-Month Assignment | Major Portfolio Divestment Programme | Social Housing | South East
We are seeking an exceptional Interim Property Disposals Director to lead a major portfolio divestment programme on behalf of a leading housing organisation.
Our client is embarking on one of the most significant property disposal programmes in its history and is seeking an exceptional interim to lead the charge. This is a high-profile assignment with significant executive sponsorship and organisational visibility.
This is not a traditional property disposals role. We're looking for a commercially astute leader who can drive complex transactions at pace and understands that this is about far more than selling assets. It is the carve-out and transfer of complex, occupied portfolios involving customers, stakeholders, regulators, and multiple transaction partners.

Key responsibilities:
- Lead a major portfolio divestment programme from strategy through to completion.
- Develop innovative routes to market and transaction structures.
- Drive pace, accountability, and commercial outcomes across multiple workstreams.
- Challenge traditional approaches and identify opportunities to accelerate delivery.
- Strong stakeholder management skills across executive, board, and regulatory audiences.
- The ability to operate strategically whilst remaining close to delivery.
We're interested in candidates who have:
- Led major disposals, divestments, business carve-outs, or similar transformation/acquisition programmes.
- Operated within private equity, corporate M&A, property, infrastructure, investment, or complex commercial environments.
- A track record of delivering large-scale transactions involving multiple stakeholders.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to balance pace, governance, and customer outcomes.
- Executive-level credibility combined with a willingness to get into the detail and drive delivery.

Social housing experience is welcomed but not essential. We are particularly interested in candidates who bring a fresh commercial perspective and a strong transaction mindset.
The assignment is to start ASAP and can be carried out on a hybrid working basis (South East UK based).
