Interim Regional General Counsel (EMEA) | 6-Month Contract

An international market-leading manufacturer operating across multiple industrial sectors is seeking an experienced interim Regional General Counsel to provide legal leadership across Europe. With a heritage spanning more than 100 years, the business combines the stability of an established global organisation with the pace and entrepreneurial culture of a company that has grown significantly through acquisitions.

This is a senior legal role supporting commercial operations across EMEA, acting as a key strategic adviser to the business on a broad range of legal and regulatory matters.

The Role

  • Lead legal support across Europe, partnering with senior business stakeholders on strategic and day-to-day matters.
  • Advise on complex commercial agreements, distribution arrangements, procurement contracts and customer negotiations.
  • Provide practical guidance on regulatory and compliance issues, identifying risks and delivering commercially focused solutions.
  • Support cross-border operations, including matters relating to subsidiary management and movement of goods across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Work closely with an established international legal team, with potential oversight of other lawyers within the region depending on business needs.
  • Operate in a lean, highly collaborative legal function.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
