Interim Registered Manager Complex Nursing Care Cheshire | £400-£425 per day | Interim contract

Are you an experienced Registered Manager with a clinical background, looking for an impactful interim assignment within a specialist complex-care service?

Leaders in Care is recruiting an Interim Registered Manager for a well-established, nurse-led residential service in Cheshire. The home provides 24-hour support for adults with complex health needs, including acquired brain injury, neurological conditions, physical disabilities and learning disabilities alongside complex clinical needs.

This is an opportunity to take the lead in a high-acuity, person-centred environment, supporting a skilled multidisciplinary team to maintain safe, effective and compassionate care.

The role

As Interim Registered Manager, you'll have overall responsibility for the safe, compliant and high-quality running of the service. You'll provide clear leadership to the nursing and care teams, ensuring that clinical delivery, safeguarding, governance and resident outcomes remain at the heart of day-to-day operations.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Providing visible, confident leadership across a specialist residential nursing service
  • Ensuring consistently safe, person-centred care for adults with complex health needs
  • Leading, supporting and developing the nursing, care and support teams
  • Maintaining robust clinical governance, safeguarding and risk-management processes
  • Ensuring full compliance with CQC requirements, relevant legislation and best practice
  • Overseeing care planning, assessments, medication management and clinical documentation
  • Supporting complex clinical interventions, which may include tracheostomy care, PEG feeding, respiratory support, catheter care, stoma care and bowel management
  • Supporting recruitment, rota management, induction and ongoing team development
  • Working closely with senior leadership to provide stability and drive continuous improvement throughout the interim period

About the service

The service supports a small number of adults in a homely, highly personalised setting. Individuals may be living with:

  • Acquired brain injuries
  • Neurological conditions
  • Spinal-cord injuries
  • Stroke-related needs
  • Multiple sclerosis or Parkinson's disease
  • Physical disabilities
  • Learning disabilities with complex health needs

What we're looking for

We're keen to speak with accomplished Registered Managers, Interim Managers or senior clinical leaders with experience in complex nursing, neurological care, brain injury, learning disabilities or specialist adult social care.

You'll ideally bring:

  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager within a regulated nursing or complex-care service
  • A current NMC registration RGN, RMN or RNLD
  • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding, clinical governance and quality assurance
  • Experience managing complex clinical needs in a residential, nursing or community setting
  • The ability to lead calmly and effectively through operational challenge or change
  • A practical, visible and supportive leadership style
  • Confidence engaging with families, professionals, commissioners and senior stakeholders
  • Immediate or short-notice interim availability would be advantageous

Contract details

  • Interim Registered Manager contract
  • £400-£425 per day, dependent on experience
  • Based in Cheshire
  • Full-time commitment preferred
