SC CLEARED PROJECT / PROGRAMME MANAGER - PHYSICAL/PROPERTY SECURITY SERVICES
£700-£800 per day Inside IR35 | 12-18 Month Contract - West London/Berkshire
SECURITY CLEARANCE - Active SC Clearance is essential.
We are looking for an experienced Project/Programme Delivery Manager to join an exciting organisation at the heart of the UK's transition towards a greener, more resilient and carbon-neutral future.
This is a high-profile opportunity for a proactive, dynamic and delivery-focused project professional with experience working within National Critical Infrastructure (CNI) environments.
You will take ownership of major physical security projects across critical operational sites, working with senior stakeholders, specialist security teams, contractors and suppliers to deliver solutions that protect people, assets and essential property.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DELIVERING
- You will lead projects involving the implementation and enhancement of physical security for critical infrastructure/property, including:
- Manned guarding and security services
- CCTV and surveillance systems
- Perimeter fencing and secure boundaries
- Access control and secure-site infrastructure
- Security enhancements across critical operational facilities
- Site resilience and protective security measures
- Infrastructure improvements supporting business continuity and operational resilience
You will manage the full project lifecycle, from concept and requirements using existing procurement frameworks, for mobilisation, implementation, commissioning and operational handover.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the delivery of complex security and infrastructure projects across multiple sites.
- Develop and manage robust project and programme plans, budgets, risks, dependencies and milestones.
- Work closely with security, resilience, property, operations and technical stakeholders to define requirements and delivery strategies.
- Work with procurement to mobilise specialist contractors, consultants and security service providers.
- Manage suppliers against cost, quality, safety, security and programme objectives.
- Coordinate multiple workstreams and stakeholders to maintain delivery momentum.
- Identify risks, issues and dependencies early and take decisive action to resolve them.
- Provide clear and credible reporting to senior stakeholders and governance forums.
- Ensure projects meet relevant security, safety, regulatory and governance requirements.
- Drive projects through to implementation, commissioning and successful operational handover.
- Maintain a strong focus on business outcomes, delivery and operational benefit.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate:
- Proven Project or Programme Delivery Management experience.
- A strong background delivering projects within National Critical Infrastructure (CNI) environments.
- Experience delivering physical security infrastructure or security services.
- Experience of projects involving manned guarding, CCTV/surveillance, perimeter security, access control/secure sites.
- Experience managing contractors, consultants and specialist suppliers.
- Strong commercial, procurement, budget and contract management experience.
- The ability to operate confidently with senior stakeholders and operational teams.
- Excellent risk, issue and dependency management skills.
- A highly proactive approach, with the ability to identify problems early and take ownership of resolving them.
- A strong delivery mindset with a proven ability to get complex projects over the line.
Candidates must have a background working in environments where security, resilience and operational continuity are critical.

This is a long-term contract opportunity, initially for 12-18 months, with the potential to become a significant delivery role within a major transformation and infrastructure environment.
LOCATION: West London/Berkshire
WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, with 2-3 site visits per week
CONTRACT: 12-18 months
STATUS: Inside IR35
RATE: £700-£800 per day
CLEARANCE: Active SC Clearance essential
