Interim Head of Operations
Location: Buckinghamshire
Start: September 2026
Duration: Until Christmas 2026 (with potential extension)
Working pattern: 5 days per week, onsite
Pay: Day rate
An education provider in Buckinghamshire is seeking an experienced Interim Head of Operations to join from the start of the new academic year through to the Christmas break, with the possibility of an extension. Reporting into senior leadership and working closely with the CFO, HR Manager, and School Business Manager (SBM), the successful interim will provide operational oversight and ensure the school's non-teaching functions run efficiently, safely, and compliantly.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational support, acting as a key point of contact for day-to-day operations
- Provide support to the School Business Manager
- Oversee estates/site operations, including contractor management and ongoing maintenance coordination
- Lead on Health & Safety, ensuring compliance, documentation, and best practice are maintained
- Support wider compliance requirements across the school
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external suppliers regarding IT and cyber security

Essential Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in an operations/estates/compliance role within schools
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety and operational compliance within schools
- Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and handling multiple workstreams
- Able to work fully onsite, 5 days per week in Buckinghamshire
