A leading international law firm looking to appoint an experienced Senior Associate to its highly regarded Trade & Commodities Finance team on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract. Hybrid working with view to extend/go permanent.
As part of an established, busy London practice, you will work on a broad range of sophisticated, often cross-border trade and commodity finance transactions for clients including financial institutions, trading houses and other across the commodities sector.
The role will involve:
- Advising on a range of trade and structured commodity finance transactions
- Working on bilateral and syndicated borrowing base facilities, pre-export and prepayment financings and inventory financings
- Advising on receivables finance, supply-chain finance and other structured financing arrangements
- Acting on cross-border transactions, including matters involving emerging and developing markets
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex financing and security documentation
- Working closely with partners and clients to manage transactions through to closing
- Taking responsibility for key workstreams and providing appropriate guidance to more junior members of the team
- Working with colleagues across international offices on multi-jurisdictional matters

- 5+ years’ PQE as a guide
- Strong experience in trade finance and/or commodities finance within a similar leading City or international law firm
- Strong drafting, negotiation and transaction management skills
- The ability to operate autonomously and hit the ground running at Senior Associate level
