Legal Counsel (6-Month FTC) | Commercial, Technology & Corporate Matters | Immediate Start
We're partnering with a growing UK business to appoint a Senior Legal Counsel on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract, with the potential for the role to become permanent.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a lean, highly regarded legal team, supporting a diverse range of commercial and strategic projects across the business. The role would be hybrid working 2-3 days in a Central London office.
You will provide pragmatic, commercially focused legal support across a wide range of matters, including:
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements, including customer, supplier, technology, SaaS, procurement, data processing, and confidentiality agreements.
- Advising on commercial, legal, and regulatory issues affecting the business.
- Supporting contract negotiations and tender processes with both public and private sector customers.
- Helping to improve contracting processes, legal templates, and legal operations across the organisation.
- Identifying and mitigating legal and commercial risks.
- Working closely with internal stakeholders across sales, operations, finance, compliance, and senior leadership teams.
- Supporting strategic projects, including acquisitions, integrations, corporate transactions, governance, and compliance initiatives.

About You
- Qualified solicitor with approximately 5+ years' PQE (candidates outside this range will also be considered).
- Strong background in commercial contracting, ideally gained in-house or through a mix of private practice and industry experience.
- Experience advising on technology, software, data protection, and wider commercial matters.
- Commercially minded and confident partnering with stakeholders across a business.
- Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced environment and managing a varied workload.
- Exposure to public sector contracting, procurement, governance, compliance, or corporate transactions would be advantageous.
