Interim Senior Financial Accountant | 10-Month Contract | Outside IR35

South-West: 2 days needed on site

£500 per day

October 2026-July 2027 (with potential for a small extension)
A large and complex UK organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join the finance team on an interim basis during a critical reporting period.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accountant who enjoys operating in a sizeable, multi-entity environment and working closely with senior finance stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead statutory accounts preparation and year-end reporting activities
- Prepare and review consolidated financial statements
- Manage and coordinate external audit processes
- Deliver high-quality technical accounting support and advice
- Support improvements to financial reporting processes and controls
- Build strong relationships across the wider finance function and senior stakeholders

What We're Looking For
- ACA / ACCA qualified accountant
- Strong statutory accounting and financial reporting experience
- Proven consolidation experience within larger, complex organisations
- Confident in managing external audit relationships
- Advanced Excel skills with strong attention to detail
- Experience operating within sizeable corporate, public sector or complex organisational environments
Additional Information
- Charity sector experience is not essential but would be desirable/ useful
- Strong technical accounting and reporting expertise is the priority
- Hybrid working 2 days per week in the office
- Immediate interviews available with a quick turnaround available
