Senior HR Business Partner

6-9 Month Fixed Term Contract (with potential to become permanent)
Location: Feltham, West London
Salary: Up to £90,000 + Benefits
Travel: Regular UK travel required, including sites across England and Scotland
Hybrid Working: Approximately 3-4 days per week onsite in Feltham and other UK locations

A High-Impact HR Leadership Opportunity

An international logistics and supply chain organisation is seeking an experienced Senior HR Business Partner to join its UK business during an exciting period of growth and transformation.

Operating across multiple locations throughout the UK and internationally, the business is continuing to evolve its people strategy, organisational structure, and operational capability. This role offers a unique opportunity to partner with senior leadership and play a key role in shaping the future of the organisation.

Initially offered as a 6-9 month contract, the position has genuine potential to develop into a longer-term opportunity for the right individual.

The Role

This Senior HR Business Partner position will lead the people agenda across a multi-site UK operation, partnering closely with senior leaders to drive organisational effectiveness, enhance leadership capability, and deliver business-focused HR solutions.

The successful candidate will operate as a trusted advisor to the leadership team, providing both strategic guidance and hands-on support across a broad range of HR activities. A significant focus of the role will be supporting organisational change, transformation initiatives, and the ongoing development of a high-performing culture.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded HR professional who thrives in fast-paced operational environments and enjoys balancing strategic business partnering with operational delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Business Partnering

  • Partner with senior leaders to align people strategy with business objectives.
  • Provide commercially focused HR advice and challenge to leadership teams.
  • Support workforce planning, organisational design, and talent strategies.
  • Drive employee engagement, performance, and organisational effectiveness initiatives.

Change Management & Transformation

  • Lead and support organisational change programmes, restructures, and business transformation projects.
  • Manage stakeholder engagement and communication plans during periods of change.
  • Support cultural transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Embed effective change management practices and leadership capability across the organisation.

Employee Relations & Employment Law

  • Lead on complex employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, performance, capability, and absence management cases.
  • Provide expert guidance on UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
  • Ensure legal compliance while balancing commercial and operational requirements.

Talent & Leadership Development

  • Support recruitment and succession planning for key and senior positions.
  • Coach and develop managers to build leadership capability.
  • Drive performance management and talent development initiatives.

HR Operations & Governance

  • Ensure effective HR policies, processes, and governance frameworks are in place.
  • Oversee HR reporting, workforce analytics, and people metrics.
  • Partner with payroll providers to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Support people-related reporting requirements and continuous process improvement.

The organisation is seeking an experienced HR professional with a proven track record of operating at Senior HR Business Partner level within a complex, multi-site environment.

Essential Experience

  • Significant experience working as a Senior HR Business Partner, Lead HR Business Partner, or HR Manager.
  • Demonstrable experience leading organisational change and transformation programmes.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and complex employee relations.
  • Experience gained within logistics, manufacturing, supply chain, distribution, transport, engineering, or similarly operational environments.
  • Proven ability to influence and build credibility with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting geographically dispersed workforces across multiple locations.

  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and drive outcomes.
