Interim Senior Management Accountant

The Opportunity

We are partnering with a fast-paced e-commerce business in Northamptonshire that is looking to bring in an experienced Interim Senior Management Accountant for an initial period of approximately six months, paying up to £400 per day inside of IR35.

This is a hands-on position where you’ll be expected to get up to speed quickly, take ownership of key areas of the finance function, mentor and support a small team and provide reliable support through a busy period for the business.

Alongside delivering the day-to-day management accounting requirements, there will be an opportunity to get under the skin of the numbers, improve reporting and provide greater financial insight to senior stakeholders across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the monthly management accounts process, ensuring accurate and timely delivery
  • Prepare and review P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and journals
  • Provide detailed variance analysis against budget and forecast
  • Analyse revenue, margins, costs and key business performance drivers
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
  • Work closely with commercial and operational stakeholders to provide meaningful financial insight
  • Produce management information and commentary to support senior-level decision making
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve existing finance processes and reporting
  • Support the wider finance team with ad hoc analysis and project work
  • Assist with year-end and audit requirements where required

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
