Interim Software Engineer
We’re looking for an Interim Software Engineer to join our busy IT Development team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, providing maternity cover. This is a great opportunity to work on impactful, enterprise-grade solutions that directly support how our colleagues work and how we deliver services to clients.
You’ll help design, build and maintain modern, scalable applications using Microsoft technologies, particularly C#.NET and Azure. Working across a varied portfolio, you’ll quickly get involved in key projects, contributing from discovery through to delivery and helping to improve our digital capabilities across cloud, integration and AI-enabled technologies.

You’ll work closely with Senior Software Engineers, QA, IT Infrastructure and Product Owners in a collaborative, cross-functional environment. You’ll contribute to front-end development and user experience, support technical and visual design decisions, and apply DevOps techniques to improve how we develop, deploy and maintain software.
We’re looking for:
- Experience with Microsoft technologies, including C#.NET and Azure Cloud
- Front-end development skills with a focus on user experience (Blazor WebAssembly experience is a plus, not a requirement)
- Understanding of software architecture, technical and visual design
- Familiarity with modern development tools and practices, including AI-enabled tools such as GitHub Copilot
- Experience working in Scrum/Agile teams
