An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Interim Supply Chain Manager. This is a key position focused on developing and implementing supply chain strategies that deliver commercial value, reduce risk, and support successful project delivery. Working across both bid and operational environments, you will play a central role in strengthening supplier relationships, supporting project teams, and driving improvements across procurement and supply chain activities. This role would suit a commercially minded supply chain professional who thrives in complex project environments and can influence stakeholders at all levels.

Your new role

As Interim Supply Chain Manager, you will develop and maintain strategic supply chain initiatives that support both work-winning activities and live project delivery. You will work closely with commercial, operational and project teams to identify opportunities, manage procurement risk and optimise supply chain performance.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing supply chain strategies aligned to wider business objectives.
  • Building and maintaining strong supplier and subcontractor relationships.
  • Supporting bid teams with supply chain engagement, market intelligence, risk assessment and procurement planning.
  • Leading supplier relationship management activities, including performance reviews and continuous improvement programmes.
  • Overseeing tender procurement strategies, pricing evaluations and commercial negotiations.
  • Identifying and mitigating commercial, operational, ethical and reputational risks within the supply chain.
  • Monitoring procurement performance, spend and resource availability across projects.
  • Supporting project teams with procurement reporting, contract documentation and project handovers.
  • Driving best practice, collaboration and continuous improvement across the supply chain function.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will have significant experience within supply chain management, procurement or commercial management. You will also demonstrate:

  • Strong knowledge of subcontract procurement, supplier management and procurement strategy development.
  • Experience identifying and managing commercial risk and opportunity.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial and procurement data and make informed recommendations.
  • Experience negotiating commercial agreements and supplier terms.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • The ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence decision making.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • A track record of delivering value through strategic supplier engagement and procurement excellence.
