Interim Tax Accountant – Corporation Tax | Milton Keynes
Currently working with an established specialist recruitment business based in Milton Keynes, supporting clients and professionals across the healthcare sector.
They are looking for an Interim Tax Accountant to provide short-term cover within the finance function whilst a permanent appointment completes their notice period.
This is an immediate requirement for someone who can step into the business, quickly understand the existing tax position and provide hands-on support across corporation tax, P11Ds and wider tax compliance. The role is likely to run for a few months, providing continuity until the permanent hire joins.

Key Responsibilities
- Taking ownership of day-to-day corporation tax requirements and ensuring key deadlines are met
- Supporting with P11D preparation and submissions
- Reviewing and managing outstanding HMRC matters and historic tax queries
- Supporting with IR35, self-employment and contractor-related tax matters
- Liaising with external tax advisers and internal finance stakeholders
- Reviewing existing tax information and ensuring records and submissions are accurate and up to date
- Providing hands-on support to the Finance team during the transition period

Requirements
We’re looking for someone with:
- Strong experience across corporation tax and tax compliance
- Previous experience preparing P11Ds
- A background in either practice or industry
- Good knowledge of IR35 and self-employment
- Experience dealing directly with HMRC and resolving tax queries
- The ability to quickly understand an existing tax position and work independently
- Strong attention to detail and a practical, hands-on approach
- Immediate or short-term availability
