Peridot Search is recruiting an Interim Tax Director for an established real estate business with international operations.
This is a broad, commercially focused role, taking ownership of UK tax matters and overseeing tax activity across overseas markets. Working closely with senior finance and business stakeholders, you will support transactions, financing and strategic projects while ensuring effective tax compliance, reporting and governance.
The opportunity would suit an experienced tax professional who enjoys combining hands-on technical work with senior stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities
- Lead UK tax compliance, reporting, forecasting and audit matters, including oversight of outsourced work.
- Advise on property acquisitions and disposals, financing arrangements, structuring and reorganisations.
- Manage external tax advisers and coordinate international tax requirements.
- Provide clear, practical tax advice to finance, legal and commercial stakeholders.
- Oversee tax risks, respond to legislative developments and identify improvements to controls and processes.
About you
- ACA, CTA or equivalent professional qualification.
- Significant senior-level tax experience, with strong UK corporate and real estate tax expertise.
- Experience advising on property transactions, structuring and financing.
- Proven ability to manage external advisers and take ownership of a broad tax remit.
- Knowledge of property investment structures, interest deductibility and joint ventures.
- Exposure to international tax matters would be advantageous.
- Sound commercial judgement, strong communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
