A leading global financial institution is seeking an experienced England & Wales qualified lawyer to join its in-house legal team on a 12-month contract supporting a complex international trade finance business. The role will provide legal advice across a broad range of trade-related products and transactions, working closely with business stakeholders, control functions, and legal teams across multiple jurisdictions.

- Advising on a wide range of trade finance transactions, including documentary trade instruments and lending structures.
- Supporting cross-border business units on English law matters and product-related legal issues.
- Providing legal guidance on trade product documentation, structuring, and risk-related matters.
- Working closely with Compliance, Regulatory, Risk, Finance, and Tax teams on matters impacting the business.
- Supporting strategic initiatives including digitization and transformation projects.
- Managing external counsel and coordinating with international legal teams on global legal issues.

Ideal Background
- England & Wales qualified solicitor.
- Strong experience within trade finance, banking, or lending transactions.
- Understanding of documentary trade products such as letters of credit, guarantees, and related trade instruments.
- Experience advising on complex, multi-jurisdictional matters and engaging directly with senior business stakeholders.
- Knowledge of recognized ICC trade finance rules and market practice would be highly advantageous.
