Ivy Rock Partners are working with a large and well-established educational organisation seeking an experienced Year-End Accountant to support their finance team through the year-end process.
This is a hands-on role requiring someone who can quickly get up to speed, take ownership of key year-end activities and work effectively with both the wider finance team and external auditors.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and support the preparation of year-end accounts and financial statements
- Prepare year-end schedules, reconciliations and supporting documentation
- Act as a key point of contact during the external audit
- Respond to audit queries and ensure information is provided accurately and on time
- Review balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding items
- Support statutory reporting and year-end adjustments
- Work closely with the wider finance team to ensure deadlines are met
- Identify and resolve accounting issues arising during the year-end process

About you:
- CCAB Qualified with a strong financial accounting background
- Demonstrable experience of delivering year-end accounts
- Previous experience managing or supporting an external audit
- Strong technical accounting and reconciliation skills
- Comfortable joining an organisation at a busy period and hitting the ground running
- Education or charity or wider not-for-profit sector experience is essential
