Interior Architect

Welcome Break Support Centre, Newport Pagnell, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, MK16 9EZ
Pay up to £40,000 with fantastic benefits, discounts, and bonus scheme

Are you a creative and commercially minded Interior Architect ready to shape customer environments used by millions of people each year? Welcome Break is entering an exciting period of growth and transformation, and as an Interior Architect, this is your opportunity to help create memorable spaces across our retail, foodservice, and hospitality locations.

This role offers hybrid working, with a requirement to commute to our Support Centre in Newport Pagnell and travel throughout the UK and Ireland as projects require. Hybrid options will be discussed during the interview.

The Interior Architect will report into the Design Manager and work within the Applegreen/Welcome Break Group Design & Developments Team. You’ll take projects from concept through to completion. You’ll bring together creative design, technical detail, and commercial thinking to deliver spaces that look great, work brilliantly, and meet our brand, budget, and customer experience goals.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop creative interior concepts for new developments, refurbishments, and enhancement projects across our UK estate
  • Produce detailed design packages, including plans, elevations, sections, schedules, and presentation materials
  • Create engaging 3D visualisations and design proposals that bring your ideas to life
  • Design customer-facing areas such as retail spaces, food courts, seating areas, amenities, and branded environments
  • Create signage, wayfinding, artwork, and environmental graphics in line with corporate and partner brand requirements
  • Take ownership of multiple projects from the initial brief through to installation and final snagging
  • Work closely with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, consultants, and external design agencies
  • Present concepts confidently and ensure designs meet operational needs, brand standards, budgets, and timelines
  • Keep ahead of retail, hospitality, and QSR design trends, introducing fresh ideas, materials, and customer experience improvements

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
