The Snapshot

  • Small, independent East London studio designing retail and brand environments for fashion labels with a proper following
  • Midweight or Senior, depending on where you are: what matters is that you've delivered fashion retail and want to own projects end to end
  • An interior designer's role, not a 3D visualiser's: SketchUp is how you think and test space, not the whole job
  • SketchUp is a must, Vectorworks a big plus
  • Fashion retail experience is essential: streetwear, trend-led, hype-driven brands, the kind of stores people queue for
  • Hybrid, with 2 to 3 days a week in the studio

The Studio

We're working with an independent design studio in East London that has built a reputation for thoughtful, highly resolved retail and fashion environments. They're small by design and ambitious by nature, choosing quality over volume and working closely with a roster of trend-led fashion brands to create stores that feel as considered as the product on the rails.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

There's no unnecessary hierarchy here. People are trusted to take ownership, bring ideas, and shape both the projects and the studio itself. It's less process than you'd get at a big agency and considerably more influence, and with the business heading into a growth phase, this is a chance to become a genuinely important part of what comes next.

Day to Day, You'll Be...

  • Developing retail and fashion environment concepts from first ideas through to delivery
  • Space planning, materiality, and detailing: solving the spatial and material challenges that make a store work as well as it looks
  • Producing design packages, technical information, and buildable outcomes, so ideas make it off the screen and into the store
  • Working closely with studio leadership on creative development and project direction
  • Keeping projects moving day to day, coordinating activity across every stage and holding the quality line from concept to completion
  • Building strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and everyone else involved in getting a store open
  • Supporting and guiding colleagues while staying fully hands-on with your own work

What You'll Bring

  • Solid experience delivering fashion retail or branded environment projects, ideally for trend-led, culturally switched-on brands
  • Strong SketchUp skills, with Vectorworks a real advantage
  • An interior designer's instincts: a genuine feel for space, materials, and detailing, not just the ability to model it
  • The confidence to take a project from concept through to completion and own it
  • The ability to interpret creative direction and develop it into fully resolved design solutions
  • An eye for what's happening in fashion, streetwear, and retail culture, and how that translates into physical space
  • Comfort in a collaborative, entrepreneurial studio where you'll be trusted to get on with it
  • A willingness to support and mentor others while staying close to the work yourself

Why This One Stands Out

Studios this size with a client list this good don't come up often. You'll get direct access to the people making the decisions, a strong pipeline of fashion retail projects, and a real say in how a growing studio evolves and delivers its work. If you love the culture as much as the craft, want your name on stores people actually talk about, and are ready to step up rather than sit in a process, this is a cracking fit.
