Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Interior Designer role based in Hayes. The Interior Designer will collaborate with clients to understand their needs, develop design concepts, and present space layouts and mood boards for bespoke wardrobes and fitted furniture. Daily tasks include:

- Creating detailed drawings and specifications
- Selecting finishes and materials

The role involves visiting project sites, taking measurements, overseeing installation quality, and adjusting designs as needed to meet functional and aesthetic goals. The Interior Designer will also support project timelines, maintain clear communication with clients and team members, and uphold Craft Wardrobe’s standards of design and craftsmanship.
Qualifications
- Strong interior design skills, including experience with residential projects and custom fitted furniture.
- Proficiency in space planning and layout design to optimize storage, flow, and functionality.
- Understanding of architecture and construction principles relevant to built-in furniture and joinery.
- Ability to produce accurate construction drawings and technical documentation for workshop and installation teams.
- Knowledge of FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment), including material selection, finishes, and hardware.
- Competence with design and CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar), and basic digital presentation tools.
- Strong visual and aesthetic sense, with attention to detail and practical problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to interpret and translate client needs into design solutions.
- Ability to work on-site in Hayes, manage multiple projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Formal education in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field is preferred; relevant work experience in joinery or fitted furniture is a plus.
