Job Details

A well-established building services consultancy is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join its growing team in Manchester.

The Manchester office is currently delivering a diverse range of projects across the built environment, with a strong pipeline of work spanning healthcare, further education, commercial, and residential sectors. With continued growth and a high level of repeat business, the organisation is looking to strengthen its engineering team with talented professionals who can contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality projects.

The Role

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of electrical building services systems across multiple project stages. You will be responsible for producing and developing design solutions while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and engaging with clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and development of electrical building services systems across all project stages
  • Production of detailed design calculations, specifications, and technical documentation
  • Attendance at design team and client meetings, as well as site visits when required
  • Collaboration with internal teams and external consultants to deliver coordinated design solutions
  • Use of industry-standard software including AutoCAD and Revit

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience within Building Services Engineering
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical building services design
  • Demonstrable experience working on a range of building projects
  • Experience attending client and design team meetings
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, with some experience of Revit desirable
  • Excellent communication, IT, and problem-solving skills
  • A proactive and motivated approach, with the ability to bring creative thinking to projects
